MUSIC
Making music is important. I make music with my friends and on my own in my room or outside.

Music On My Own

FROM VOB DRO

FROM VOB DRO was my first album as a solo musician. I released it in October of 2023, right after moving to Chicago from Los Angeles where I was born and raised. It was the culmination of three years of recording and experimenting that I began during the COVID-19 Lockdown. I became obsessed with field recording, sound collage, playing whatever instruments I could get my hands on, and learning how to use strange (obscure and free) musical software. I am extremely proud of this album, which I recorded and produced and released 100% on my own. I think that it is very strange, it is not very accessible and is silly or abrasive at times, but I do think that it is very honest. My goals were to 1, make an album that did not really sound like anything I had heard before and 2, was a true reflection of my creative process. I think I was successful, and I hope that more people listen to it as time passes.

DREAVE

I am making a second album, I think it might be called Dreave, but could be called something else. I have a lot of music for it already, but I am not sure exactly how to put it all together. I am excited to continue working on it nonetheless.

Music With Others

FISH CASPER:

Fish Casper is a band that spans the globe (LA, NYC, CHI, LDN). We make a special kind of rock music and have deep roots in the Los Angeles DIY scene. Our first show was at The Smell in Downtown LA. We are four best friends and we love to play music together and in front of others. I play bass most of the time in the band, sometimes other things like guitar and synthesizer. Recording has slowed down as everyone has moved across the world to college, but when we can all be together making music and smiling, it is truly something special. Our first album, Fish Casper & The Five Hundred Pound Hat was released in early 2024 and everyone loved it. We have a live album recorded and are in the process of writing and recording a second LP all about SPORTS.

WIRED CONNECTION:
Ongoing Multimedia project with Eva Phillips. look out.

FLOGISTON:

Flogiston was a Free-Improvisation Noise Rock Collective that existed in Pasadena, California. We were Riley Pickenpaugh, Julian Costa, Eli Rosenkim, and Maximus Silva. Our practices and recording sessions were some of the happiest and most exuberant moments of my life. I will never forget them. We have music out on the web (click this paragraph or the header) and some recordings that may see the light of day one day

FOOD BROTHERS:

Food Brothers is an experimental trio that exists in some shape and form between me Maximus Silva, Julian Costa, and the ever elusive Carlton Food.
